An autumn campaign has already been planned for Coolmore Stud Stakes (registered as Ascot Vale Stakes) (Gr 1, 1200m) winner Sunlight (Zoustar), with the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes (Gr 1, 1000m) set to be the three-year-old’s first run of 2019.
“I’ve just taken the pressure off her now, she will get four weeks to herself, she is back on my farm at the river back in South Australia and we will get her back and run first-up on February 17 in the Lightning Stakes,” McEvoy told Racing.com.
“She is that level now, I’m very happy to kick her off in that and then look at the Newmarket Handicap. We will probably have a light autumn and set her up for next spring.”
