Record breaking 2017-18
The 2017 – 2018 racing season has been an historic one for the McEvoy Mitchell Racing operation with record-breaking racetrack results and the acquisition of some of the highest quality yearlings Australian breeders have to offer.
Trainer Tony McEvoy said the results had been achieved through a complete team effort.
“I have been fortunate to have wonderful staff both at Kildalton Park, Angaston and in Melbourne,” he said.
“As we look forward to the excitement of the new racing season and in particular the Spring Carnival, I would like to take a moment to thank all the owners for their continued support of the stable over the past 12 months.”
McEvoy Mitchell Racing became a top 10 stable in 2017/18 for the first time, with 141 wins and prizemoney of over $9.3 million, an increase of an amazing 117% from the previous year.
The stable’s breakthrough season was emphasised by the remarkable achievements of its two-year-olds.
There was enormous tally of 19 two-year-old winners, amassing an incredible $4.1 million, which put the MMR stable out in front, on their own, as the leading conditioner of juveniles.
“With the new racing season upon us, we look forward to enjoying even greater success on the racetrack with our owners, both old and new, in 2018/19.”
