A cracking, strong son of HELLBENT who moved through his gears with ease, this was a colt that was on our radar from the moment we laid eyes on him.

He is out of a sharp ZOUSTAR mare who won over 1000m. He is also a half-brother to a 2YO filly in our stable that Tony and Calvin have a big opinion of! With this piece of insider information, we were very happy to secure another member of this talented family.

HELLBENT was a seriously fast horse who won the G1 William Reid Stakes and consistently competed in the top sprinting races in the country.

He has a particularly good record with 2YO colts as of late. He is the sire of last year’s $2m Inglis Millennium winner and Golden Slipper runner, FULLY LIT. He is also the sire of the winner of this season’s listed VRC Maribyrnong Trial Stakes TREMONTI, who is trained by the Champion 2YO trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.

GLAMARAMA is by ZOUSTAR. From just 40 starters to date, Zoustar mares have produced 4 stakes performers. These include HOLMES A COURT (CAPITALIST), DISCRETION RULES (ALABAMA EXPRESS) and DAWN SERVICE (JUSTIFY), two of which were 2YO stakes winners in the 2023-24 season. Our very own stakes placed SISSTAINABLE is also out of the Zoustar mare SISSTAR, who is a full sister to SUNLIGHT.

With Hellbent’s recent record of throwing talented young colts, combined with Zoustar’s burgeoning broodmare sire trend of doing the same, we think the odds are stacked in this colt’s favour to be a gun 2YO!
